One year after forming a strategic partnership, the Energy Innovation Agency (the Agency) and Kantar Advisory Partners (KAP) are reporting strong results and moving into a new phase to accelerate the commercialisation of climate and energy solutions.

During its first year, the collaboration has:

  • Supported four innovators with pilot opportunities in Greater Manchester and internationally, including successful market expansion into the UAE

  • Advanced solutions in renewable energy and storage, low-carbon mobility, energy optimisation, and the sustainable built environment

  • Partnered at Innovation Zero 2025 in London on a pavilion stand, enabling joint discussion with a delegation from the Middle East about the benefits of innovation and collaboration to drive decarbonisation whilst also hosting a diverse group of innovators on the pavilion to raise their profile and connect them with investors and end-users

  • Collaborated on a range of events and programmes, including the Agency’s in-person Accelerating Sustainability conference in Manchester; the ABCC conference; an Agency pitch day; and GM Link investment readiness sessions

Partnerships get announced every day; few are built step by step to deliver measurable results. Over the past year we’ve moved from statement to action by combining rigorous investment readiness with practical pilot deployment. The next phase focuses on scaling that success across the UK and into international markets.

Looking ahead to year two, the Agency and KAP have introduced a strengthened operating framework to help innovators move faster from pilot to commercial scale readiness and from seed to Series A investment.

The framework supports greater engagement and collaboration including:

  • Joint innovator validation/reviews – to identify the best low-carbon innovations

  • Innovator referrals to accelerate market engagement and the deployment  of low carbon energy and climate technology (UK and Middle East markets)

  • Investment readiness support – through access to KAP’s advisory packages and investor network

  • Marketing & events – alignment on messaging and events hosting and attendance

Our Partnership with KAP is built on collaborative action. Both organisations are focused on accelerating the scale and pace of innovation deployment, and over the past year we’ve connected innovators to end-users and pilots at pace, while opening new doors for capital and market expansion. The enhanced framework strengthens that capability and positions us to deliver even greater impact across Greater Manchester and beyond.

Building on the strong establishment of our partnership, the next phase will deliver more climate-tech innovation to buyers in the UK and the Middle East, provide greater alignment and joint presence at UK events, enable thought leadership, and showcase key real-world project outcomes and case studies. Together, this will help accelerate the wider deployment of low-carbon innovation and climate-tech, deliver carbon reductions, and support cost benefits for organisations.
