Energy Innovation Agency shortlisted at the edie Net-Zero Awards 2024

The Energy Innovation Agency (Agency) has been shortlisted for the Innovation of the Year: Technologies & Projects award at the 2024 edie Net-Zero Awards.   

The edie Net-Zero Awards recognise and reward the individuals and organisations that are spearheading the transition towards a net-zero carbon economy. and this year they received hundreds of entries from breakthrough innovations and technological solutions to industry-leading carbon reduction programmes and ambitious energy management initiatives.

The Innovation of the Year award celebrates organisations that have championed a particularly innovative technology, service and/or business model which holds the potential to decarbonise business and drive us towards net-zero.

The Agency is a unique collaboration between eight partners bringing together the region’s exceptional public and academic sectors with the entrepreneurship and investment of industry to accelerate the scale and pace of carbon reductions by matching innovations against the challenges faced by business.  

 

As an innovative vehicle, the Agency is accelerating the commercialisation of energy innovations and the reduction of carbon emissions in the Greater Manchester (GM) city-region and has already secured over £3 million in funding and helped early-stage innovators secure a further Euros 3M, attracting inward investment from start-ups, VC investment and is supporting end-user site decarbonisation.

The Awards ceremony will take place on Friday 29 November at the Convene, London.
